Triple C Officiating was founded by three women’s basketball officials, Jason Schmitz, Shane Bennett and Trevor Michels, who have developed a friendship through officiating over the past 10 seasons. Triple C Officiating assigns women’s basketball officials for the Great Rivers Athletic Conference (GRAC), a junior college league with schools located in Illinois and Indiana, and the Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC), a junior college league with schools in central Illinois.
Shane Bennett
As an NCAA women’s basketball official, Shane Bennett has officiated the NCAA DII Elite 8, the NCAA DII Sweet 16 twice, the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) conference tournament, and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) conference tournament.
Trevor Michels
With over 26 years’ experience officiating Women’s College Basketball, Trevor Michels has officiated the NCAA Division III National Tournament eight times, the NAIA Division II National Tournament four times with appearances in the semi-final round and the final round twice, the NJCAA Division II National Tournament twice with appearances in the semi-final both years, as well as the NCCAA Division II National Tournament three times with two appearances in the semi-final and also one appearance in the National Championship Game.
Jason Schmitz
With 14 years’ experience officiating women’s basketball at the collegiate level, Jason Schmitz has officiated the NCAA Division III National Tournament three years, including an appearance in the Final Four; the NAIA Division I National Tournament three years; and the NAIA Division II National Tournament.
